A forecasting app, not a budget tracker
Most apps show the past. Solpetalos shows the future.
See where your money stands today, where it's heading in the months ahead, and how today's decisions shape it.
The difference
You can see what you spent. You can't see whether you'll be okay next month.
Budgeting apps are a rear-view mirror: they tally what already happened. Solpetalos is the windshield: it projects your real balance forward, so “can we afford this?” has an answer before you commit, not after.
Why I built it
I just needed to know we'd be okay.
When my wife and I moved to Canada, money suddenly felt foreign: weekly paycheques, credit scores, a system we'd never had to read before. All I wanted was to know we could cover rent and bills, and see what was left to actually live on.
But every app I found only catalogued the past, or asked to log into my bank; none could show me what was coming. So one evening I built a spreadsheet that projected our balance forward, week by week, across the whole year. For years, it's how we stopped worrying and started planning ahead.
Solpetalos is that spreadsheet rebuilt: private, on my phone, and far beyond anything a grid of formulas could do.

The forecast
Your whole month, before you live it.
Plan your recurring income and expenses once. Solpetalos projects your balance forward day by day, and shows the cash moving in and out, so every upcoming low point is visible before it arrives, not after it stings.

Projections are estimates based on your own numbers, not guarantees of future results.
The day-to-day
Every day mapped. Every goal in view.
A calendar you can read by month or by week, with every paycheck and bill in its place, plus a savings tab that keeps each goal in sight. One calm view, no spreadsheets.

Platforms
Built for your iPhone and iPad. macOS is next.
The same calm view, synced privately through iCloud, scales from your iPhone to iPad, with the native Mac app already taking shape.

How it works
Three steps to a calmer view of your money.
Set your rhythm
Add your recurring income and expenses: paychecks, rent, subscriptions, debts. Once.
See the projection
Solpetalos charts your balance forward across the months. No spreadsheets, no formulas.
Model a decision
SoonWeighing a big purchase or a job change? You'll simulate it and watch the projection redraw.
Decision simulation
See the future before you commit.
Spin up a copy of your plan, change one thing (a house, a car, a raise), and watch the months ahead reshape themselves. Solpetalos guides the what-ifs, so you decide with foresight, not hope.
Your data is yours
Private by design. No bank logins, ever.
- Stored on your device
- Synced privately through iCloud
- No bank connections or scraping
- No ads, no selling your data
Solpetalos earns its keep from people who value it, never from monetizing your financial life.
Who it's for
For deliberate builders, not passive spenders.
If you plan ahead, care about financial independence, and want peace instead of adrenaline, Solpetalos is built for you. If you want a gamified spending diary with confetti, it isn't, and that's on purpose.
